Market Analysis & Outlook
A concrete pump is mechanical equipment that transfers freshly mixed concrete from a mixer or hopper to a pour location through a pipeline or articulated boom, removing the need to carry concrete by wheelbarrow or crane bucket. The category spans truck mounted units that travel to a site and self erect a boom, fixed or trailer mounted stationary units used on long duration or high volume pours, and smaller specialized line pumps suited to confined or low access sites. Buyers range from general construction contractors and ready-mix concrete producers who own pumps as part of their own fleet to equipment rental companies that supply pumps to contractors on a per-project basis.
Between 2025 and 2034 the global concrete pumps market moves from USD 6.2 billion to USD 10.22 billion, compounding at 5.78% a year. Fifteen years are covered in all, taking in USD 4.75 billion in 2020, USD 5.95 billion in 2024, USD 6.52 billion in 2026 and USD 8.1 billion in 2030.
55% of 2025 revenue sits in Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps, worth USD 3.41 billion and rising to USD 5.31 billion at 52% by 2034, the largest type line in both years. Growth is fastest in Specialized Concrete Pumps at 7.3% and slowest in Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps at 5.13%. The lines gaining share are Stationary Concrete Pumps and Specialized Concrete Pumps. Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps lose share without losing revenue.
By application, Commercial accounts for 48% of 2025 revenue at USD 2.98 billion, reaching USD 4.7 billion and 46% by 2034. Industrial grows faster at 6.37% against 5.2%, moving from 37% of revenue to 39% by 2034. This axis divides the same revenue as the type split rather than adding to it, so the two are read together rather than summed.
Asia Pacific is the largest region at 42.14% of 2025 revenue, worth USD 2.61 billion and reaching USD 4.7 billion by 2034. North America follows at 21.93%, moving from USD 1.36 billion to USD 2.04 billion, and Latin America is the smallest at 7%. Asia Pacific and Middle East and Africa gain share across the period, so growth is not distributed evenly between regions.
Behind these figures sit five regions, three type lines and five segmentation axes, each reported for every year from 2020 to 2034. The headline 2025 value is a triangulation of published figures and category proxies rather than a directly sourced total, and the same applies to the segment, regional and country breakdowns drawn from it.

Key Takeaways
- Revenue grows from USD 6.2 billion in 2025 to USD 10.22 billion in 2034, a compound annual rate of 5.78%, having reached USD 5.95 billion in 2024 from USD 4.75 billion in 2020.
- 55% of 2025 revenue sits in Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps (USD 3.41 billion) and it remains the largest type line in 2034 at USD 5.31 billion and 52%.
- At 7.3%, Specialized Concrete Pumps grows faster than any other type line, moving from USD 0.93 billion and 15% of revenue in 2025 to USD 1.74 billion and 17% in 2034.
- The bull case puts 2034 revenue at USD 12.15 billion and the bear case at USD 8.35 billion, either side of the USD 10.22 billion base case, each with its own stated assumption in the full report.
- Asia Pacific holds 42.14% of global revenue in 2025 at USD 2.61 billion, the largest of the five regions tracked, and reaches USD 4.7 billion by 2034.
- 47.89% of Asia Pacific's base-year revenue comes from China alone: USD 1.25 billion in 2025, rising to USD 2.16 billion by 2034, which is why it is that region's worked example.
- Every line on all five segmentation axes and in each of the five regions carries its own revenue, share and growth rate for all fifteen years, 2020 through 2034, on a 2025 base.
Market Trends
Revenue Share, By By Type
Base year 2025Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps leads with 55.0% of by type segment revenue.
Share of by type segment revenue, most recent base year.
Three things move over 2026-2034, and they are worth separating: the type mix, the regional balance, and the 5.78% compounding underneath both.
The direction of the market is not in question in any of the three. Each line and each region grows in revenue terms; the question is which takes the larger part of the growth.
Composition shifts on the type axis. Between 2026 and 2034, 7.3% growth in Specialized Concrete Pumps against 5.13% in Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps pulls the type mix apart. Over the forecast period that moves Specialized Concrete Pumps from 15% of revenue to 17%, and Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps from 55% to 52%. Neither contracts: USD 0.93 billion becomes USD 1.74 billion, USD 3.41 billion becomes USD 5.31 billion. What the spread decides is which of them a supplier's revenue is exposed to.
Growth concentrates in Asia Pacific and Middle East and Africa. Asia Pacific moves from 42.14% of revenue in 2025 to 46% in 2034, worth USD 2.61 billion rising to USD 4.7 billion; Middle East and Africa moves from 9.36% of revenue in 2025 to 10% in 2034, worth USD 0.58 billion rising to USD 1.02 billion. The remaining regions grow in absolute terms while giving up share: North America at 21.93% moving to 20%, Europe at 19.57% moving to 17%, Latin America at 7% moving to 7%. Growth is therefore not something a participant inherits from the market; it depends on which regions its revenue is weighted toward.
Growth compounds at 5.78% without a step change. Year by year the total runs USD 4.75 billion in 2020, USD 5.95 billion in 2024, USD 6.2 billion in 2025, USD 6.52 billion in 2026, USD 8.1 billion in 2030 and USD 10.22 billion in 2034. No year breaks the trajectory, and the 5.78% forecast rate compares with 5.47% recorded over 2020-2025, a continuation rather than an inflection. The risk in the number sits in the mix assumptions rather than in whether the market grows at all, which is where the type and regional sections come in.
Market Growth Factors
Specialized Concrete Pumps carries the market's growth rate
Market Drivers
3- 01Specialized Concrete Pumps carries the market's growth rate
The fastest line on the type axis is Specialized Concrete Pumps, at 7.3% against the market's 5.78%, taking USD 0.93 billion to USD 1.74 billion and 15% of revenue to 17%. The market's overall 5.78% depends on that rate holding: at the 5.13% recorded by Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps, the same revenue base would compound to a materially smaller 2034 total. Exposure to this line, rather than exposure to the market, is what determines a supplier's own rate.
- 02Growth lands where the revenue already is
42.14% of 2025 revenue (USD 2.61 billion) is generated in Asia Pacific, reaching USD 4.7 billion by 2034, with share rising to 46%. North America adds a further 21.93% at USD 1.36 billion, reaching USD 2.04 billion. Most of the base and most of the growth sit in those two, and a plan spread evenly across regions therefore over-invests outside them.
- 03Fifteen years of unbroken growth underpin the forecast
USD 4.75 billion in 2020, USD 5.95 billion in 2024 and USD 6.2 billion in 2025: 5.47% compound growth before the forecast period even begins. From there the forecast carries 5.78% through to USD 10.22 billion in 2034. With the trajectory already demonstrated over fifteen years, what remains uncertain is the mix rather than the direction, which is where the segment and regional sections do the work.

| 3 | Cyclicality in construction spending across mature markets | Low | −0.13 | Medium | Low | Low |
| Total | −0.63 | |||||
Drivers contribute 4.65 Billion and restraints remove 0.63 Billion, a net 4.02 Billion, which is the revenue the market adds between the base year and 2034. Contributions are CDI estimates, apportioned so that they reconcile with the forecast rather than being read from it.
Growth in the global concrete pumps market comes from three measurable sources over 2026-2034: the market's own compounding at 5.78%, the share gained by faster-growing type lines, and expansion in the regions taking a larger part of global revenue.
Restraining Factors
The bear case and what drives it
Market Restraints
2- 01The bear case and what drives it
The bear case assumes prolonged slowdowns in construction spending across several large economies and delayed public infrastructure financing, which stretch pump replacement cycles and slow the shift from rental to owned fleets. On that assumption 2034 revenue lands at USD 8.35 billion rather than the USD 10.22 billion base case, from the same USD 6.2 billion 2025 starting point.
- 02Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps grows below the market rate
Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps carries 55% of 2025 revenue at USD 3.41 billion but compounds at 5.13% against 5.78% for the market, taking its share to 52% by 2034 even as revenue rises to USD 5.31 billion. Because it carries that much of the base, its pace holds the blended rate down more than any faster line lifts it.
Market Opportunities
Upside case: USD 12.15 billion by 2034
Market Opportunities
2- 01Upside case: USD 12.15 billion by 2034
What would beat the forecast: the bull case assumes faster adoption of larger-boom and electric pumps in public infrastructure and urban high-rise programs, with rental penetration rising faster than the base case as more mid-sized contractors shift away from fleet ownership. That case reaches USD 12.15 billion in 2034 rather than USD 10.22 billion, and it is worth testing against a reader's own read of the market.
- 02Specialized Concrete Pumps is where share changes hands
Specialized Concrete Pumps grows at 7.3% against 5.78% for the market, adding revenue from USD 0.93 billion in 2025 to USD 1.74 billion in 2034 and taking its share from 15% to 17%. It is the place on this axis where share changes hands at scale, so it is where an entrant can take position without displacing the incumbent in Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps.
Market Challenges
The total depends on a single line
Market Challenges
2- 01The total depends on a single line
Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps is 55% of 2025 revenue at USD 3.41 billion and still 52% at USD 5.31 billion in 2034. No other single change on the type axis moves the total as much as a change in demand for that one line.
- 02Asia Pacific is largely China
Asia Pacific is worth USD 2.61 billion in 2025 and USD 1.25 billion of that is China; 47.89% of the region, reaching USD 2.16 billion in 2034. A regional number that depends this heavily on one country carries that country's specific conditions inside it, which a reader treating the region as diversified would miss.
Segmentation Analysis
5 axesSegmentation runs along five axes: type, application, output capacity, end user and power source. Revenue does not add across them: each is a different cut of the same total.
Three type lines are reported. Two of them take share over the forecast period and the other gives it up, though every line grows in absolute terms between 2025 and 2034.
By Type · 3 segments
Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps Led by Type in 2025, with Specialized Concrete Pumps Growing Fastest
- Largest Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps · 55%
- Fastest Specialized Concrete Pumps · 7.3%
- Moves most Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps · -3 pts
- Order by 2034 unchanged
| Segment | 2025 | Share | 2034 | Share | CAGR |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps | $3.41B | 55% | $5.31B | 52%-3 | 5.1% |
| Stationary Concrete Pumps | $1.86B | 30% | $3.17B | 31%+1 | 6.2% |
| Specialized Concrete Pumps | $0.93B | 15% | $1.74B | 17%+2 | 7.3% |
Truck mounted units lead because they combine mobility with strong output, letting a single machine serve multiple pours across a city without a separate transport trailer, which suits the fragmented, project-based nature of commercial and residential construction. Specialized units are gaining the fastest as urban infill and renovation work increasingly need compact, boom-less pumps that can operate in tight, low-access sites. By 2034 Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps is still ahead, making this a shift in weight rather than a change of leader. Every year of the series is priced on this axis, making it the reference cut for the rest of the report.
By Application · 3 segments
Commercial Held the Dominant Share of the Application Segment in 2025
- Largest Commercial · 48%
- Fastest Industrial · 6.4%
- Moves most Industrial · +2 pts
- Order by 2034 unchanged
| Segment | 2025 | Share | 2034 | Share | CAGR |

| Commercial | $2.98B | 48% | $4.70B | 46%-2 | 5.2% |
| Domestic | $0.93B | 15% | $1.53B | 15% | 5.7% |
Commercial construction leads because office, retail and mixed-use developments make up the largest steady share of building activity in most regions and rely on pumped concrete to keep pour schedules on tight urban sites. Industrial applications are growing fastest as energy, data center and heavy manufacturing projects expand, each requiring large, continuous concrete volumes that favor pumping over manual placement methods. Commercial remains the largest line through 2034, so the axis changes in proportion rather than in order.
By Output Capacity · 3 segments
Medium Capacity (60-90 m3/h) Held the Dominant Share of the Output capacity Segment in 2025
- Largest Medium Capacity (60-90 m3/h) · 45%
- Fastest High Capacity (above 90 m3/h) · 8.7%

| Medium Capacity (60-90 m3/h) | $2.79B | 45% | $4.39B | 43%-2 | 5.2% |
| High Capacity (above 90 m3/h) | $1.36B | 22% | $2.87B | 28%+6 | 8.7% |
Medium capacity pumps lead because they suit the widest range of project sizes without the cost premium of the largest boom classes, making them the default choice for general contractors. High capacity units are growing fastest as large infrastructure and high-rise projects multiply, since these pours need continuous, high-volume output that smaller machines cannot sustain without repositioning or downtime. Medium Capacity (60-90 m3/h) remains the largest line through 2034, so the axis changes in proportion rather than in order.

| Equipment Rental Companies | $1.24B | 20% | $2.56B | 25%+5 | 8.4% |
Construction contractors lead because owning a pump fleet gives them direct control over pour scheduling on their own projects, which matters most for larger firms running continuous work. Equipment rental companies are growing fastest as smaller and mid-sized contractors increasingly prefer renting over owning, avoiding the maintenance burden and idle-time cost of a machine used only intermittently between projects. The order does not change: Construction Contractors is still largest in 2034, and what moves is how much it holds.

| Electric-Powered | $0.74B | 12% | $2.04B | 20%+8 | 11.9% |
Diesel powered pumps lead because they remain the default choice on sites without reliable grid power and for the largest boom classes that need sustained hydraulic output. Electric powered pumps are growing fastest as emissions rules tighten in urban centers and indoor or noise-sensitive sites increasingly require quieter, zero local emission equipment for pouring. Diesel-Powered remains the largest line through 2034, so the axis changes in proportion rather than in order.

The type mix reported at global level applies here, with Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps the largest line at 55% of 2025 revenue and Specialized Concrete Pumps the fastest-growing at 7.3%. The full report breaks North America out along every axis and by country.
United States
Sets the pace for North America at 72.1% of it, growing 1.5×.
- In region 1 of 2
- Of region 72.1%
- Of global 15.8%
- Revenue $0.98B → $1.47B
The largest single market in North America is the United States, at USD 0.98 billion in 2025 and USD 1.47 billion in 2034. 72.06% of the region in 2025 means the regional figures are, in practice, a view of this market with others attached. The region itself runs USD 1.36 billion to USD 2.04 billion over the same period, and this is the market carrying the country-level detail in the full report.
The type pattern in the United States is the global one: 55% of 2025 revenue in Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps, 52% by 2034, against 7.3% growth in Specialized Concrete Pumps taking it from 15% to 17%. Because the country carries 72.06% of North America, a movement in its own mix shows up in the regional totals rather than being averaged away by neighbouring markets. The United States carries its own type breakdown in the full report.
In the United States, concrete pumps are governed primarily through workplace safety rules enforced by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which sets requirements for guarding, operator training, and safe placement-boom operation on construction sites, alongside general duty obligations for equipment condition. Diesel-powered pump engines must meet Environmental Protection Agency nonroad emission standards, and truck-mounted chassis are subject to Department of Transportation requirements for road use. Manufacturers commonly design to voluntary consensus standards published by ASME and ANSI covering concrete pump and placing-boom safety, and purchasers rely on that conformity as evidence of due diligence even though no single federal product-approval regime applies specifically to this equipment category.
The suppliers tracked in this study (Alliance Concrete Pumps, PCP, Concord Concrete Pumps, Ajax Fiori Engineering, Liebherr, Apollo Inffratech, Schwing Stetter, Junjin, DY Concrete Pumps, Putzmeister, Others, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Sany Group, XCMG Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and CIFA S.p.A.) compete in the United States across the type lines above. Two different problems sit on the same axis: holding Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps at 55% of 2025 revenue, and taking Specialized Concrete Pumps while it grows at 7.3%.
Canada

It accounts for 29.75% of regional revenue in the base year, the largest single share without dominating the region outright. Set against USD 1.21 billion and USD 1.74 billion for the region, it is why this market rather than a smaller one is the one reported in full.
Demand in Germany follows the type mix reported at global level: Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps is the largest line at 55% of 2025 revenue, moving to 52% by 2034, while Specialized Concrete Pumps grows fastest at 7.3% and takes its share from 15% to 17%. Because the country carries 29.75% of Europe, a movement in its own mix shows up in the regional totals rather than being averaged away by neighbouring markets. Revenue by type for Germany is reported separately in the full report.
As a European Union member state, Germany requires concrete pumps to comply with the EU Machinery Regulation before being placed on the market, meaning the manufacturer must complete a conformity assessment, compile a technical file, and affix CE marking confirming that structural, hydraulic, and operator-safety requirements have been met. Conformity is normally demonstrated against the harmonized European standard specific to truck-mounted and stationary concrete pumps and spraying machines. Domestic law under the Product Safety Act reinforces these obligations for equipment sold or hired within Germany, while the relevant employers' liability insurance association issues complementary occupational-safety guidance covering inspection intervals and operator qualification once the pump is in service on site.
Competition in Germany runs between the suppliers this study tracks: Alliance Concrete Pumps, PCP, Concord Concrete Pumps, Ajax Fiori Engineering, Liebherr, Apollo Inffratech, Schwing Stetter, Junjin, DY Concrete Pumps, Putzmeister, Others, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Sany Group, XCMG Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and CIFA S.p.A.. The commercially relevant division is 55% of 2025 revenue in Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps, where the volume is, against 7.3% growth in Specialized Concrete Pumps, where share moves.

The largest single market in Middle East and Africa is Saudi Arabia, at USD 0.23 billion in 2025 and USD 0.41 billion in 2034. It accounts for 39.66% of regional revenue in the base year, the largest single share without dominating the region outright. Against regional totals of USD 0.58 billion in 2025 and USD 1.02 billion in 2034, it is the country the full report breaks out in detail.
Composition here matches the global split: the largest line is Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps at 55% of 2025 revenue, easing to 52% by 2034, and the fastest is Specialized Concrete Pumps at 7.3%, from 15% to 17%. Its 39.66% weight in Middle East and Africa means those movements carry straight into the regional totals. The full report reports Saudi Arabia by type separately.
Concrete pumps entering Saudi Arabia must clear conformity assessment through the SABER platform operated under the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, which requires the supplier to register the product, obtain a certificate of conformity, and label the equipment in line with applicable Gulf Standardization Organization technical regulations for machinery safety. These regulations address structural integrity, hydraulic and pressure system safety, and guarding, mirroring the scope of international machinery-safety standards that manufacturers typically reference to demonstrate compliance. Equipment used on active construction sites additionally falls under national occupational safety obligations administered by the labour ministry, covering operator competence and periodic inspection of lifting and placing mechanisms.
In Saudi Arabia the field is Alliance Concrete Pumps, PCP, Concord Concrete Pumps, Ajax Fiori Engineering, Liebherr, Apollo Inffratech, Schwing Stetter, Junjin, DY Concrete Pumps, Putzmeister, Others, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Sany Group, XCMG Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and CIFA S.p.A.. Its share moves to 7% by 2034, a shift in share rather than in direction: revenue climbs every year while the market's centre of gravity moves elsewhere.
Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps leads here as it does globally, at 55% of 2025 revenue, and Specialized Concrete Pumps again grows fastest at 7.3%. Latin America is reported axis by axis and country by country in the full study.
Brazil
The largest market in Latin America, growing 1.6×.
- In region 1 of 2
- Of region 51.2%
- Of global 3.5%
- Revenue $0.22B → $0.36B
Brazil is the largest market within Latin America, generating USD 0.22 billion in 2025 and projected to reach USD 0.36 billion by 2034. Its 51.16% of base-year regional revenue leads the region, though enough sits elsewhere that Latin America is not a proxy for it. Against regional totals of USD 0.43 billion in 2025 and USD 0.72 billion in 2034, it is the country the full report breaks out in detail.
Demand in Brazil follows the type mix reported at global level: Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps is the largest line at 55% of 2025 revenue, moving to 52% by 2034, while Specialized Concrete Pumps grows fastest at 7.3% and takes its share from 15% to 17%. Because the country carries 51.16% of Latin America, a movement in its own mix shows up in the regional totals rather than being averaged away by neighbouring markets. Brazil carries its own type breakdown in the full report.
In Brazil, concrete pumps fall within the machinery and equipment safety framework issued by the labour ministry, which sets requirements for guarding, emergency stops, and safe operating procedures for placing-boom equipment used on construction sites, with compliance verified through workplace inspection rather than a pre-market licence. Conformity assessment and certification of imported or domestically produced units is coordinated through INMETRO, drawing on national and international standards covering structural and hydraulic safety. Suppliers must provide Portuguese-language technical and safety documentation, and equipment operating with a lifting or placing boom is additionally subject to periodic technical inspection requirements applicable to mechanical handling equipment more broadly.
Competition in Brazil runs between the suppliers this study tracks: Alliance Concrete Pumps, PCP, Concord Concrete Pumps, Ajax Fiori Engineering, Liebherr, Apollo Inffratech, Schwing Stetter, Junjin, DY Concrete Pumps, Putzmeister, Others, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Sany Group, XCMG Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and CIFA S.p.A.. Competitive Landscape
Scale in Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps and Growth in Specialized Concrete Pumps Set the Terms of Competition
The suppliers covered are: Alliance Concrete Pumps, PCP, Concord Concrete Pumps, Ajax Fiori Engineering, Liebherr, Apollo Inffratech, Schwing Stetter, Junjin, DY Concrete Pumps, Putzmeister, Others, Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Sany Group, XCMG Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and CIFA S.p.A..
The competitive line that matters is the type one, not the geographic one. 55% of 2025 revenue, worth USD 3.41 billion, is in Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps, still 52% of the total in 2034; that is the position least likely to change hands. The line that changes hands is Specialized Concrete Pumps at 7.3%, well ahead of Truck Mounted Concrete Pumps at 5.13%. A supplier positioned in one is not automatically positioned in the other, which is what keeps a field of this size viable in a market of USD 6.2 billion.
In the concrete pump market, competition centers on boom engineering and reach, since a longer, more stable boom lets a supplier serve taller and larger footprint projects without repositioning. Manufacturing scale and component supply reliability matter because pump wear parts and hydraulics need consistent replacement, and downtime on a pour is costly to the contractor, not just the supplier. Established players hold an edge in service network density and spare parts availability across regions, while regional manufacturers compete on price, faster local delivery and application specific customization for domestic or smaller commercial projects that do not need the largest boom classes.
The regional picture sets the entry cost: 42.14% of revenue is in Asia Pacific and 21.93% in North America, so a credible global position requires both, while Latin America at 7% can be served opportunistically.

Research approach
A market size is a claim about the world, and a claim is only as good as the route to it. Every study is built upward from units and prices — what is actually produced, sold or performed, at what it actually changes hands for — rather than from a headline figure divided downwards. Disclosed company revenue is then used to check that build, not to produce it.
Market sizing combines a bottom-up build from concrete pump unit shipments and installed fleet counts, cross-checked against pump output capacity and typical utilization hours per unit, with a top-down view of construction equipment expenditure drawn from national construction output and machinery investment data. Bottom-up volumes are converted to revenue using average selling prices by pump type and capacity band, then reconciled against total construction spending allocated to concrete placement equipment in each region. Where the two approaches diverge, the estimate is weighted toward the bottom-up unit count in markets with better equipment registration data and toward the top-down expenditure view in markets where unit-level data is sparse, producing a single reconciled figure for each segment and region.
The four stages
The same sequence runs behind every published study, whatever the industry. The order matters as much as the steps: the segment axes are fixed before any number is collected, so the model is never reshaped to fit whatever data happens to turn up.
What the build rests on, and what checks it
The two are not interchangeable. The left column produces the number; the right column tests it. When the check disagrees with the build, the answer is to find which bottom-up assumption is wrong — a unit count, a price, a take-up rate — not to split the difference between them.
- Volume actually transacted — units produced, installed, dispensed or procedures performed, counted at the level each is genuinely recorded
- Realised pricing by tier and channel, rather than one blended average applied across the whole market
- Take-up and frequency: how much of the addressable base buys, and how often it repeats
- Disclosed revenue of the companies serving the market, where filings separate it far enough to be usable
- Buyer-side spending totals — capital budgets, procurement lines, or the output of the end market the product is bought against
- Trade and customs flows, where the product crosses borders in a separately recorded form
Data sources
Published data establishes what happened. Only the people transacting in a market can say why, and what is about to change — so the two are collected separately and weighted differently.
- Commercial and product leadership at the companies that supply the market
- Procurement and specification leads at the organisations that buy it
- Distributors, integrators and channel partners, where the market is served indirectly
- Regulatory and standards specialists, where approval governs what can be sold at all
- Company filings, annual reports and investor disclosure
- Government statistics, customs records and regulatory registers
- Trade association output and standards-body publications
- Technical and peer-reviewed literature, where the market rests on a clinical or engineering claim
Primary input comes from structured conversations with procurement and fleet managers at construction contractors and ready-mix producers who specify and purchase pumps, equipment rental company managers who track utilization and replacement cycles, and regional distributors and service personnel who see order patterns and aftermarket demand directly. Regulatory contacts are consulted in markets where emissions or safety rules are reshaping purchase decisions, particularly around diesel-to-electric transitions. Sampling weights Asia Pacific and North America more heavily, reflecting their combined share of global demand, while still covering Europe, Latin America and the Middle East and Africa closely enough to support each region's own estimate rather than deriving it as a residual.
Desk research runs across proprietary research databases including Factiva, OneSource and Hoovers alongside the public sources above. Modelling and statistical validation are run in SAS and SPSS.
Triangulation and validation
No figure enters a report on the strength of one source. Where the two sizing routes disagree the difference is not averaged away — the assumption causing it is isolated, tested against a third independent measure, and either corrected or carried forward as a stated limitation. Historical years are back-tested against the growth actually recorded before any forecast is allowed to run forward from them.
Every report purchase includes direct access to the lead analyst for scoping questions on the data, at no extra cost and with no separate booking process.
